[TYPO3] Indexed Search not showing results in FE

Hi list !

I m using Typo3 4.1.1 for a multilingual site (multiple-tree structure) 
and tested both Indexed_Search versions i.e. 1.2.8 and 2.9.3 with 
macina_searchbox 2.2.0. In both cases, I m able to see indexed pages 
through "Indexing" in BE which is fine but no result is showing in FE. 
Any clue why is it so? Please note that I have not changed anything 
regarding caching and Frontend rendering.
I would also like to search only pdfs and docs for each language. Any 
suggestions?
