[TYPO3] Noob question about secure private pages

[James Corell]

I saw a few extensions that might have had something to do with secure file
download, but all of them were "Beta". In general, some beta extensions
deserve the "Stable" flag, but others outright crash my TYPO3 installation.
Anybody know which secure file download extensions are worth risking my
website for?
