[TYPO3] jb_gd_resize for BE thumnails in filelist

Hello,

Looking for a way to use GD instead of ImageMagick to resize images on a 
server without it, I found the extension jb_gd_resize, which works fine with 
rgsmoothgallery for example.
I was hoping it would also work to generate thumbnails in the filelist 
module, but apparently it does not.

I tried to enable the [GFX][thumbnails] option in install configuration, but 
the option does not stay checked after saving changes.

Anyone knows if it is possible ? And how ?
