[TYPO3] looking for hints: frontend editing possible with addresses (tt_address)?

I'm using tt_address to show lists of addresses. What effort is needed
to enable frontend editing for the address data?

- Can it be done by typoscript only?
- Or do we have to touch the PHP code?

I feel I search the whole wide world but couldn't find a clue.

Q: Are there any tipps, pointers, examples, howtos on how to enable
frontend editing for addresses using tt_address?

If I arrive at a solution I'd happily feed it back to the community
here.
