[TYPO3] how to display | character in sitepath

Hello!

I am using the | character as a separator in my path.
However this character is also used by stdWrap, so my question is how to 
  display this character. Is there any HTML code for that?
I only managed to fing sth like that ¦ (broken vertical bar) but 
there is no code for vertical bar or maybe I am wrong?
