[TYPO3] eu_ldap cronjob possible?

Hi all,

We use eu_ldap for connecting to an active directory,

We made an extension which allows people to search trough contact  
information in typo3 ( which is fed by ldap)
And we would like to update our users every night  at  4 a.m.

Does anybody know if it is possible to make a cronjob for eu_ldap so  
it refreshes the userdata from the ldap?

which is actually remotely calling one of the eu_ldap functions.
