[TYPO3] HMENU userdefined always expanded

Hello all,

I tried the first time to do my userdefined menu, and get exactly the
menupoints and submenus I want. The only thing I didn't get is, why the
whole menu and submenus are expanded, even that there is a expAll=0?

  25 = HMENU
  25 {
    wrap = <div class="mainMenu">|</div>
    expAll = 0
    special = userdefined
    special.file = typo3conf/ext/user_menu/pi1/test.php

    ... rest of menu definitions ...
  }

Any idea?
