[TYPO3] Vjchat - chatbox shows up but not working as it should

Hello list,

I finally have vjchat showing up in the backend like it should, but
its not working ok. After i've logged in and enter the chatbox the
chat area, user area and text input area display fine. However, my
username is not showing up in the user list. I can enter text in the
input area, but i cant send it by pressing enter (i just go to the
next line).

Also, a javascript errors occur :
'chat_instance' is null or not an object

I have set up all PID's for entries, rooms and sessions and set up a
page where the chat plugin resides (its in 'chat' mode right now, so
it just directly displays one room), so according to the scarce manual
this should be working now. Any know out of experience what could be
wrong?
