I am sure now that it is the caching!

If i save elements on a page which render abnormally then everything is
back to normal?!?
(If i just clear the frontend cache it has no effect.)

the mbstirng function overload setting is now at 7 again.
If i put it at 0 then i have problems in the backend too!
With setting 7 at least in the backend nothing strange happens.

Please Please Please Help!
