[TYPO3] Linkstyling "By: Author" in tt_news

Hi.

I have a little cosmetic problem that annoys me.

When outputting NEWS_AUTHOR as a mailto-link tt_news do not only 
underline and style the author name as a link. It also includes the 
"By:" in the the link.

I don't think this look good. Especially because when page:author is 
outputted as a mailto-link on a normal page (not news) only the name is 
styled as a link.

Any Suggestions on how to avoid that "By:" and the nonebreaking space 
after it is styled as a link?
