[TYPO3] debugData returns an empty array

Hi guys

Forgive me if you recieve this mail tvice - but my email client blew up 
while trying to send the email the first time. :-)

Anyway .. I'm trying to get debugData to return a list of available 
variables - but all I get is an empty array:

$cObj->data:

.. and that's basicly it. The code looks like this:

page = PAGE
page.typeNum = 0
page.10 = USER
page.10.userFunc = tx_templavoila_pi1->main_page
page.20 = TEXT
page.20.debugData = 1

Could someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?
