[TYPO3] Translation of frontent labels

Have you installed french as language, and made the necessary setup in TypoScript
(Root template) to make it .
Are the age labels of post in a normal content element or in a News Item
(or another element).
Which version of TYPO3 are you using (there are a big difference between
3.8 and 4.x in how language is installed). As you are trying to edit locallang_core.xml
I suppose you are using 4.x. But french aren't in any of these language files,
they are in separate language files which has to be downloaded through the
language tool (Translation handling) in the extension manager.
