Thanks for that note, Ries.
I believe it is important that we have rules and it's important that
we point people to them. But let's always do that as gently as we can.
It is very easy for us to forget what it feels like to be a newbie.
I remember being intimidated about posting to this list at first
because I was afraid of making a mistake in list etiquette. I know it
sounds silly but it is the way I felt at the time.
I do not see a huge problem with this issue but I see it every now
and then. Even when it does happen I know the sender did not mean to
sound harsh.
I always try to keep in mind that posts are viewed by a lot more
people then we realize. People's initial of impressions Typo3 are
sometimes more affected by the "feel" of our community and the tone
of our conversations than we realize. So, let's remember people are
making judgments of TYPO3 by what they see in our posts. . I truly
believe that the people in this community are fantastic and are our
greatest asset in attracting people to TYPO3.
I know you all know this and live it, but thought I'd say it anyway. :)
All of you are truly generous with your time on this list and I
appreciate it.
