Hi Martin

No what you need is to RTM about rte and tt_news and follow what it says 
and then the typoscript will work right to fix this ;-)

Thats assuming your using a newer version of tt_news, htmlArea (but we 
don't actually know as you failed to give any really helpful information ;-)
