[TYPO3] Indexed_search linking to protected external media

I am protecting external files (eg pdfs) by blocking direct visitor access
to the /fileadmin directory (.htaccess) and serving them via typo3 using:

styles.content.uploads.jumpurl = 1
styles.content.uploads.jumpurl_secure = 1
styles.content.uploads.jumpurl_secure_mimeTypes = pdf=application/pdf,
doc=application/msword


The problem is indexed_search results link straight to the external file(if
the FE user has access)which is blocked.

Can I get indexed_search to return the jumpurl link?
