[TYPO3] bug in Extension Repository.

I had also had this problem.  Thanks for putting me on the track of a 
solution.  For everyones reference, the particular bug that has at least 
a partial solution for this problem is bug number 2615.  It includes a 
patch to 4.0.2 that solves the issue with the extension list not 
downloading.

Having applied the above patch I now get a success message something 
like -The extensions list has been updated and now contains 2013 
extension entries-.  However, I still don't see a list of extensions, 
and when searching for extensions that are known to exist in 
http://typo3.org/extensions, I still get -no extensions matching- 
message.  I've tried searching both by exact extension key and by exact 
title (pulled from typo3.org/extensions/repository/reviewed).

Any further help would be greatly appreciated.
