[TYPO3] htmlArea RTE not working in IE 7. Any solutions?

I have access to different versions of TYPO3 and as from version 4.0 the RTE
works just fine in IE7.
Below 4.0 you get indeed a textarea instead of the RTE.

Perhaps this is a security setting, something JavaScript-specific?
