[TYPO3] problem to update tt_news

Hi! I would like to update tt_news 1.0.4 to the current version in TER, 
but i get the following error as soon as i clicked on install:
You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds 
to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ') as 
testit FROM tt_news LEFT JOIN tt_news_cat_mm ON 
tt_news.uid=tt_news_cat_' at line 1

I also tried to set the news plugin manually, but it doesn't display 
anything in the FE. What can i do to update?
