[TYPO3] FE empty after moving Typo3 and update to typo3 4

Hi!
I allready did this at the beginning...
Compared databases in install tool
checked database relations/references in BE (some images are not found 
in filesystem)
Then i clicked on update in the install tool.. FE does not work with 4.0 
and not with 3.8.0 emulation..

Could it be important, that we now use php 5.xx instead of 4.xx? (I did 
not specify, that we use an other php version..) does this matter somehow?
