[TYPO3] Versioning of uploaded file

Hi all,
  I dont know why typo3 can't do the versionning of a file over than 20 times,
  aftfer the 20 th version of a file typo began to use unknown number like hexadecimal number i'm note sure but it seem...
  I wanna know if there is a config file  to enable typo3 do do the version over than 20 times.
  or whereis the code to modfy tor that
  Any help is welcome
