[TYPO3] website user unable to login

i have successfully installed typo3 now. when i tried to create user in the admin log in page i am not able to create a user but if  delete a user am able to delete it.
   Sencond is that when i tried to login using the existing user id john it is not allowing me to login to  and says check your user name password.
