[TYPO3] Workspace Challenge

I am working with Typo3 4.0RC2. Workspaces seem to function as expected with
the admin users. However, when I set up a normal (non-admin) user with a
workspace, they can see the pages they are supposed to see but they cannot
see content on those pages nor edit those pages.

I assume I am missing something on the setup of the user. Any guess as to
what?
