[TYPO3] Help with simulatestatic

Online documentation has been great as I start to build  my first typo3 site.

One question.

This is in my setup

config.simulateStaticDocuments = PATH_INFO
config.simulateStaticDocuments_addTitle = 30

renamed_.htaccess to .htaccess


This is what I see in the address line

http://mysite.com/typo3_demo/index.php/Welcome_Visitors/9/0/



This is what I expected.
http://mysite.com/typo3_demo/Welcome_Visitors/9/0/


How do I get rid of the index.php?
