[TYPO3] indexed search, no work properly!

Didn't see that coming. ;)

I've spent the past two weeks going over the manual for the crawler
extension, and the indexed search engine. I've successfully gotten an
index configuration  setup for each section I want one for. But, I just
can't figure out how to get the search box to use the configuration I
want it to.

I will definitely be writing a tutorial on how to do this once I get it
figured out.
