[TYPO3] Insert Multiple images with links

Hi

I have a "tool box" in my template where I have small icons for mail, 
sitemap and so on. I want this to be a dynamic area so the users can add 
/delete icons.

My setup is like this:
lib.kvikmenu = CONTENT
lib.kvikmenu {
   table = tt_content
   select.pidInList=49
}

and then I just create a text content element, inserting the icons using 
the RTE, but is this the smartest approach? If so, when make an image a 
link a border is surrounding the image. How is this removed?
