[TYPO3] wraping TMENUITEM linktext

Is there a TMENUITEM parameter that will wrap the actual link text only if
it has a submenu?

I see 'stdWrap' but I haven't found how to use it correctly.

I am trying to create the html structure for a css drop down menu.
