[TYPO3] Sysfolder

Hello List, 
  
  I have created an extenision to enter records following these guide 
  http://www.mcuniverse.com/index.php?id=767&type=0#1168, 
  but I don't know why my my records are not created in the folder, as it was supposed to be.
  
  Is this guide all right? The only thing I need to do for the extension  to same in the desired place is to configure the General Record Storage  folder in the root folder?
