[TYPO3] Selecting fields from tt_content

Hi everybody,

after spending quite some hours trying to understand the internals 
of T3, I made some few progress.  But still I don't understand how 
to influence the set of columns which are loaded from tt_content.

When I look into §this->cObj->data inside my plugin, I see only a 
subset of the records.  Where is the rest?
