[TYPO3] Using SMTP-Server instead local sendmail with Typo3 mail functionality

That would be solution 2., which we already tried before. Probably we had an error in the configuration or overlooked something else. I'm not sure, but 25 is the default port of SMTP. Maybe the Server listens to another port "inside" the network and we've also to configure this in the php.ini?

Regardless of this, do we have to attend in the install tool or elsewhere in the Typo configuration?
