[TYPO3] how to get the width/height of a flashvideo?

Hi mates,
fro my extension I need a kind of service or lib, what gives me back the 
height/width of a flashVideo.

like $sizeArray = nicelib::getMediaSize('fileadmin/video.flv');

Is there anything like this out there? or a TYPO3-Service?
Where can I see a list of available services and there abilites?
