1) You also need to configure php for 32MB of mempory. TER2 is extremely 
memory hungry.
2) Although core is php5 compatible, many extensions are not or not tested.
3) I doubt that IE 5+ still works (Who uses IE anyways?)
4) if you site is loaded, I would pick 1 or 2 GM of RAM


Appart from that the document is fairly current.
