[TYPO3] datamnint newsticker with categories

Hello list

I'm attempting to add the datamnint news ticker (EXT: datamints_newsticker
) to the site I'm working on.

It works (and looks) great until I try adding a news category. As soon
as i add a category all the links dispear and just leave the empty
box.

I've tried it by adding the cat id and the common name (csv style) but
no results. Before I dig into the TS, anyone have any ideas?
