[TYPO3] templavoila FCE and images

When I insert an FCE into my page, I have two image fields.  On the page
editor I choose the files from my folder tree and save the page.  When I go
to view the page it has created temp versions of the pictures, which while
annoying, is not a huge deal, the problem is that the quality is terrible.

you can see what it should look like.  What am I doing wrong and is it
possible to make TV use the original images?
