[TYPO3] Hide alias field

Hmm.
According to TSconfig inserting
TCEFORM.pages.alias.disabled = 1
into the PageTS would be the solution. But it didn't change anything.
What's even more strange:
I created a new user (non-admin, of course), put him into a new group
and granted him rights to let him edit some pages.
I didn't select anything from "Allowed excludefields".
After that I logged in with the new user I tried to edit the page
properties of some pages.
Now guess what fields appeared:
Title (I don't care), Alias and "Show content from this page instead".
That looks to me that those fields don't get checked at all.
What do you guys think?
