[TYPO3] FE user login problem

I have created a sysfolder "users" with a user and a website group and 
put  a login form on a page with sub-pages underneath, to be visible 
only those that login in..... However, when I enter the correct username 
and password I see the uid change, but the login form remains, not 
allowing the hidden content to be seen.

Any ideas how I can fix this?
