I

I'm *totally* tired of people who says 'Typo3 is too complex to use'
I have deciced, that if someone feels so lets' create "Typo3 Lite".

I have done *much* work alone - this has been my private project and I
don't have got much help. Endeed people like Peter Klein has helped me
in some details. Peter is really fine person. Thank's Peter all your
help, which you have given in this list!

But I can't do everything alone - I have several unsolved issues

Known problems

1) I didn't succeed in fully implementing the extra toolbar to work with
pop-up-windows without a some changes to 'dummy.php', which redirects to
close.html, when the 'New page' button has been used in the frontend to
open a pop-up-window. You can find the modified close.html and dummy.php
from the /res/ folder of this plugin. If you don't use the modified
dummy.php, you simply get an empty page.

2) Frontend editing has some language problems. Titles of individual
edit icons and text follow the language of the page, but titles of edit
panel icons follow the language of the backend interface. Titles and
texts may be inconsistent.

3) I didn't succeed to disable the 'Quick Edit' mode option from the
standard page module.

To-Do list

1) To add the same kind of SELECTmenu for 'typo3/alt_doc.php' which is
is used in editing content elements in Quick Edit mode. In that mode is
easier to edit 'Edit pageproperties' information and individual content
elements of the page using a SELECTmenu or individual buttons

2) Solve language problems.

3) Make possible to disable the 'Quick Edit' mode from the standard page
module.

4) Add 'cut and 'copy' to the items, which can be edited in the Columns
view.

If someone could know answers to these problems I would be very pleased.

You can test the minimal set of options using

http://www.osconsult.com/tapio/typo3/

the username and password 'minimal'

I have left is 'hide' and 'columns' but nothing else in the 'Allowed
excludefields:'

The only issue, which I'm not satisfied is the 'Quick Edit' mode
selection, which I can't disable. I could offer just AJAX-based
drag'ndrop Columns view.

Newbees wouldn' then learn to use *two* alternative way to edit but they
could have one. 'Quick Edit' can be used alone, but not 'Columns' view
and I can'g figure why.

BTW. The test site will have soo dragndrop in frontend editing but it
has still some unsolved issues, which I must discuss with the author of
AJAX-scripts.
