[TYPO3] Indexed search plugin: returning too many pages

Hi

My indexed search works fine, except for one thing :-)

If I search for a common keyword, I get:

Displaying results 1 to 10 out of 466

Page 1
Page 2
Page 3
Page 4
Page 5
Page 6
Page 7
Page 8
Page 9
Page 10
Next >
--------------------------------------

It believes to have 466 search results. But this is not true. 

Selecting "Page 2" I get:

Displaying results 11 to 20 out of 454

< Previous
Page 1
Page 2
Page 3
Page 4
Page 5
Page 6
Page 7
Page 8
Page 9
Page 10
Next >
--------------------------------------

Now it says 454 pages! Jumping to page 4 I get:

Displaying results 31 to 34 out of 34

Page 1
Page 2
Page 3
Page 4
--------------------------------------

And here we find the truth. There are only 34 search results. Any ideas?
