[TYPO3] looking for case studies of heavy duty websites

Hey,

I'm looking for some case studies of websites who have to deal with 
heavy traffic.

Some figures:

30.000/visitors a day. peak moments of 100 hits/sec
+30 websites running in 1 installation with at least 50 pages per site, 
all with there own domain
heavy tracking of FE user movements and personalized FE user pages 
(profile pages)
ecommerce sections


any figures / comments you can provide are welcome!
What are your experiences on load balancing?
any pitfals to be aware off ?
