[TYPO3] sr_feuser_register birthday date help

Hi guys,

Could someone please tell me how to modify the birthday field of the
sr_feuser_register extension so that it take input from dd-mm-yyyy
instead of now its opposite. This is because I am from Australia so the
date we use is in the format of dd-mm-yyyy.

Or even better if someone can show me how to make the birthday a
dropdown of date month and year instead of user having to type it in.
