[TYPO3] Element Browser Templavoila and DAM

Well since I asked the question I may not be the only one encountering 
the problem. And although the question was answered before on the DAM 
mailing list, I had the problem that that mailinglist is no longer 
online. And since my firewall prevented me from reading the list on the 
newsserver I had no access to the archive.
Anyway the reason why I couldn't get the element browser with DAM 
features from the RTE was that by default when Typo3 4.1 is installed 
the htmlarea RTE is also installed as a system extension. However the 
version that is installed does not support enabling the DAM browser yet. 
So you first have to upgrade the RTE before being able to use DAM and RTE.

Well just in case anyone else comes across the problem. I hope this is 
helpful to some.
