[TYPO3] Products disappear from frontend after upgrading tt_products

After upgrading to Typo3 4.0 and being forced to then upgrade
tt_products from 2.3.10 to 2.5.0 all the products now disappear from
the frontend of my shop site.

Does this have something to do with the new 'Template Suffix' field in
the Plugin options. The tutorial now mentions 'You must now insert
the static shop template manually from  the template setup.  '. But
this is confusing, does this mean the TS constants or in the Plugin
options.

I've gone back to 2.3.10 for now, but as mentioned in an earlier email
this causes the customer notification to be encoded.

Please in future upgrades can a concise list of things needed to be
changed or updated be made in the plugin notes! This is most
frustrating.
