[TYPO3] HELP - Site has stopped working

Thanks for the comments.

Yes it is only the FE that is not working BE is OK.

If I go to /typo3/ or /typo3/index.php the BE works fine.

I can see index.php with an ftp client

If I log in via ssh and do ls -la I get:

The symlink appears to be correct and pointing to the right directory,
and I have checked this against other installations on the same server
and they look the same. It does not appear to point in any way to the
backup that is now deleted.

Any other ideas?
