Hi,
I'm not not sure to remember how SSI works, but if what you want is
including a specific tag in the resulting HTML, you have to build a
plugin that make the intended output in the page, and then Apache is
taking care of the final HTML serving to the browser. I guess it will
make it's job withh SSI there.
Regarding TYPO3, your SSI is just some code to render at the end of a
plugin execution.
