[TYPO3] server side includes

Hi

 

I know I can set a content type as "multimedia" and it will include an
uploaded txt file etc ... 

 

But, like using server side includes , is it possible to include a link
to a file (without uploading the file - as it will be updated through
different means) and to have the content outputted straight to a page in
typo3????????
