[TYPO3] Google Maps API and Typo3 together

I have been told that it's very difficult to use Google Maps API and Typo3 
together and would like to see and hear people's opinion about this because 
I would like to make a project using both together after reading

http://googlemapsmania.blogspot.com/ and searching the newsgroup 
http://groups.google.dk/group/Google-Maps-API?hl=da. Can the extension 
LumoNet Google Maps use the things mentioned in vers.2? I'm new to Typo3 but 
I have decided to take some courses because I think it is too difficult to 
start alone even that I have the book.:-(
