Hey Group,

Our team are doing a website. The team members are not in an office. To
make it convenient for all of us contibute to it in parallel way we
installed the typo3 on the beta folder and work on it. This means when
the site is ready to launch we need to do most of the configure again.
A glance at TYPO3 4.0's release note, it seems it will be a huge release
for this kind of situation. Because we can have multiple workspaces.

Right now we have a website alive and want to come up with a new version
using typo3. I do not want to shut down the current version while we are
doing the new version. is the current version going to be thrown into
the back stage after install typo3 4.0 under main directory? If so, How
can I avoid it please?

Secondly, Most of our work has been done under typo3 3.8.1. Can any of
you give me an idea how to back the work up so that I can upgrade typo3
to version 4.0 please?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Rocky
