Dev Tools Lecture
Having the right tool for the job is an essential thing for any task.
Being a TYPO3 developer you'll most certainly need stuff like a
SVN-client, a good diff-viewer and a decent code editor. Get an
introduction to some of those tools that makes your development easier
at this session:

Andreas Otto will talk about how the developement infrastructure for
TYPO3 is setup and how the developement is organized. This includes a
short introduction to SVN.

Karsten Dambekalns will show xxdiff and Zend Studio as his "favourite
tools" and give a short introiduction to the Extension Development
Evaluator, aka extdeveval, which is a really great tool...

Robert Lemke shows how to use Eclipse for PHP development and debugging.

Building a TYPO3 extension usually starts with creating a basic
framework using the kickstarter. Ingo Renner and Thomas Hempel are going
to give an introduction to kickstart your next extensions.
