[TYPO3] How to move TYPO3 in the file system

Hi!
I have a quite stupid question, but just wanted to be sure:
What do I have to do, when i want to move TYPO3 completly on a Linux 
server from path "/contents" to "/" (root)?

I mean, i would like to move everything. The FE and the BE with all it's 
contents.. Is there any way to just change a value somewhere or any 
automatic function that can handle this? I mean because of all the 
images and links and so one.. ..the extensions, etc..

Any help appreciated.
