[TYPO3] Usergroup

I created it in the main root folder. It said new backend usergroup. I
created the group, but after that if I go to the visibility settings of any
page it doesn't have my group in the drop down menu. It has _Usergroup__ and
nothing below it.

Do you mean the BE usergroup?? All BE usergroup MUST locate in the ROOT
(the earth logo). I think you have created FE usergroup in a storage
folder.
