[TYPO3] Typo3 4.0: Mysql errors both in backend and in frontend

Are you sure you updated correctly?

You must do the following (in the correct order!):
1.) Remove the folders typo3/, media/, tslib/, t3lib/ and the files
    showpic.php and index.php (alternatively to deleting, you can move
    them to a backup location, but they must be completely out of the
    way)
2.) Copy the new 4.0 source into the site location
3.) Go to the install tool->Database Analyser->COMPARE and IMPORT
